Sept 19, 2026 | 25th Week of Ordinary Time
Pastor's Notes
This weekend kicks off our weekend Children's and Teen's Religious Ed program. Along with our OCIA, Religious Education forms a vital ministry to our parish and every parish. We would not be able to do this without the volunteer Catechists. So at all the masses this weekend we will acknowledge and bless all Catechists.
This weekend will be the Olive Wood Sales. Elias comes about twice a year to do these sales. The monies raised support Christians who live and truly struggle in the Holy Land.
Come by Manzanita Park this Saturday at 10am to help clean up this local park.
Oct 4th is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. We will bless pets out front at 2pm. Please bring them leased, tethered, contained or bowled. Thanks
This coming Thursday the priests of the area will gather for a Day of Recollection. We will listen to Abigail Favale on gender/sexuality issues. She has a wonderful podcast called "The Accompaniment Project" about Gender and Sexuality (Adult themes). I would recommend it.

Opening Prayer for the 25th Sunday
O God, who founded all the commands of your sacred law
upon love of you and of our neighbor,
grant that, by keeping your precepts,
we may merit to attain eternal life.
We are reminded in our prayer, everything is based on the love for God and for others. No other law, rule, no morality or ethic will grow us or save us, if it is not based on Love.
Welcome Home Project
An opportunity to contribute to the Project and be remembered will be coming available soon. The plaza will have memorial bricks with names inscribed. Stay tuned for details.
Thank you for being a part of the Our Lady of the Snows community!
